By Road To the London Welsh ground: From the South: M3 to end of motorway. Join A316, follow directions to Richmond, cross Twickenham Bridge. At large roundabout with traffic lights turn left at first exit, signposted Kew Bridge. After half a mile the entrance is via double iron gates on the left. From North, West or London: follow A406 until you reach the Chiswick Roundabout. Take A205 signposted to Richmond. At traffic lights bear left over Kew Bridge, at next lights bear right into Kew Road. After a mile the entrance to Old Deer Park is the double iron gates on the right after the Kew Gardens wall stops. To the 'Pools on the Park' ground: From the South: M3 to end of motorway. Join A316, follow directions to Richmond, cross Twickenham Bridge. The pitches can be found on the left hand side just after the bridge. There is a car park on the right hand side further down towards the roundabout. From North, West or London: follow A406 until you reach the Chiswick Roundabout. Take A205 signposted to Richmond. At traffic lights bear left over Kew Bridge, at next lights bear right into Kew Road. After a mile you will pass the actual London Welsh ground. Continue past this to the roundabout. Take the third turning towards Twickenham Bridge (A316). There is a car park on the left. The pitches can be found just before the bridge on the right hand side. By Rail or Underground The nearest railway station and underground station is Richmond. There are frequent services from London Waterloo to Richmond by rail. The Silverlink which goes to Willesden Junction, West Hampstead, Highbury & Islington and Stratford serves Richmond. It is also at the end of the District line and can be reached from Victoria in about half an hour. To the London Welsh ground: Turn right out of the station, and walk around the roundabout to Kew Road, which is diagonally opposite. You should be able to see Molly Malone's and the Shaftesbury Arms on this road. Continue along for five minutes and the London Welsh Ground is on the left hand side. To the 'Pools on the Park' ground: Turn right out of the station, walk to the roundabout. Turn left and follow the A316 towards Twickenham. Pass the Richmond Swimming Baths and just before Twickenham Bridge are the rugby pitches on the right hand side.  |
